Product Life Cycle¶
The life cycle of Ensenso hardware products is segmented into three phases:
Active
The device is in the current product line-up and is actively marketed, sold and supported.
Maintenance
The device has dropped out of the current product line-up.
The device type will be supported by all newly published EnsensoSDK versions during this period.
EnsensoSDK releases will automatically include bug fixes, security fixes and occasionally also feature updates in host software and firmware.
The product can still be purchased until the ‘Last Time Buy’ date in this period, which will be announced separately.
The Maintenance period lasts at least 5 years.
Beyond Support
The device type will not be part of regular release tests for newly published SDKs.
Support for the device might be dropped from newly released EnsensoSDK versions.
New EnsensoSDK releases will not automatically include bug fixes and security fixes for device specific host software or firmware.
