Product Life Cycle

The life cycle of Ensenso hardware products is segmented into three phases:

• Active

  • The device is in the current product line-up and is actively marketed, sold and supported.

• Maintenance

  • The device has dropped out of the current product line-up.

  • The device type will be supported by all newly published EnsensoSDK versions during this period.

  • EnsensoSDK releases will automatically include bug fixes, security fixes and occasionally also feature updates in host software and firmware.

  • The product can still be purchased until the ‘Last Time Buy’ date in this period, which will be announced separately.

  • The Maintenance period lasts at least 5 years.

• Beyond Support

  • The device type will not be part of regular release tests for newly published SDKs.

  • Support for the device might be dropped from newly released EnsensoSDK versions.

  • New EnsensoSDK releases will not automatically include bug fixes and security fixes for device specific host software or firmware.
